Los Angeles, California. Nancy Montuori Stein’s American Girl Productions, whose critically-acclaimed film “Stealing Innocence” has garnered over 20 awards and screened at over 100 film festivals around the world, will next set its sights on the creation of original content and programming for mobile devices including ipods, laptops and cell phones. American Girl Productions will kick-off its new division with the launch of “All Ages Night – Live From Chain Reaction,” live indy rock concerts from Southern California’s world famous all-ages nightclub beginning in August.
American Girl Productions is a film and video production company that specializes in feature and short films, music videos and commercials. American Girl Productions’ new division will develop and create original content video podcasts including episodic series, live music shows and various other forms of entertainment content for all mobile devices, as well as providing worldwide wireless marketing support for artists, television and feature films.
“It’s all about creating content for the new medium,” says Stein, “the use of mobile devices is growing at an unprecedented rate and the programming possibilities are infinite.”
Stein’s award-winning short narrative film "Stealing Innocence", a story about a special friendship in the Middle East between two young girls which she both directed and produced was featured in the Los Angeles Times Calendar section. In 2004, Stein finished shooting a documentary short, "Joey," on children growing up amidst gangs and violence in South Central Los Angeles. "Joey" is currently being screened in film festivals all over the world. Nancy has produced six commercials for the Van's Warped tour featuring various music artists which ran on MTV and ESPN. American Girl Productions was awarded a grant to produce a documentary short on psychedelic rock pioneers - Os Mutantes. Nancy just finished directing her feature film - "All Ages Night" about a teenage rock band who believe one night on stage will change their life. Watch for a summer 2008 release.
